Viburnum Plicatum F. Plicatum ‘Newport’

A delightfully compact form of the Japanese Snowball with all the beauty of its larger cousins, but just a fraction of their size! Viburnum plicatum f. plicatum ‘Newport’ produces the distinctive pleated foliage of this well-loved species. Rounded flowerheads of white spring blooms cover this hardy shrub in late spring and early summer. The rich plummy-red autumn foliage gives a final burst of colour before winter takes hold. This hard-working shrub is reliable and easy to grow in mixed borders and woodland gardens, or even a container on the patio. Height and spread: 1.5m (59″).
