The rounded flower-heads are lime-green as they open, but gradually develop through shades of pink, purple and green until eventually turning red in autumn. Hydrangea macrophylla ‘Magical Jewel’ is a showy variety with a neat and compact habit, producing plenty of flowering shoots. The large flower heads are well-supported by stiff stems, making this a lovely variety for cutting for summer bouquets.
