Delosperma Sutherlandii

Delosperma sutherlandii is ideal for introducing a splash of colour to rockeries, gravel gardens, containers, stone walls, and tricky hot, dry spots. The winner of an RHS Award of Garden Merit, D. sutherlandii is one of the hardiest ice plants and has the largest flowers of them all. This prostrate hardy succulent forms an evergreen mat of fleshy green leaves, which in summer becomes smothered with bright pink-purple daisy-like flowers with yellow eyes. This compact ice plant is easy to grow and needs virtually no maintenance, thriving in very well-drained soil in full sun. Height: 10cm (4in). Spread: 30cm (12in).
