Carex Testacea

A striking species for prairie borders where it can reach a good height of up to 1m (3’) with maturity. Carex testacea forms a dense clump of grassy foliage that slowly transforms from olive-green in summer to a rich orange-bronze in autumn. The evergreen foliage has a gently pendulous habit that makes an eye-catching, spreading clump. Perfect for creating structure and texture in winter borders. Height and spread: 100cm (39″).
